This is a highly integrated product that supports 1-stream 802.11ac solutions with Multi-user MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) USB interface controller. It combines a WLAN MAC, a 1T1R capable WLAN baseband, and RF. This provides an outstanding solution for a high-performance wireless.
802.11ac Wave 2 support: This is especially suitable for connecting to latest generation wireless routers with IEEE 802.11ac support. These routers include Netgear Orbi, Google WiFi, TP-Link Archer, BT Whole Home WiFi, Amazon Eero, TP-Link Deco and many others.
Backward compatible with 802.11 b/g/n networks: Backward compatible with older generation wireless protocols for universal compatibility.
Dual channel support: This supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The 2.4GHz band provides coverage at a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds. The 5GHz band provides less coverage but transmits at faster speeds.
Plug and Play on Windows 10: Latest generations of Windows 10 come with built in drivers for this model. Just plug in and connect to WiFi. If you're running an older version of Windows, run Windows Update to get the drivers installed or search "RTL8811CU" on google and download drivers from Realtek's website.
Nano size(16mm×32mm×3.0mm, 2-3 grams weight): This sits discreetly inside a USB port. It is unobtrusive and less prone to any physical damage.
